Here at Hop&Co. we pride ourselves on telling great stories and connecting with audiences via our content, so we were particularly proud to recently learn that we’d been shortlisted for a prestigious UK Content Award.

Who are Hop&Co?

We’re a boutique PR and marketing agency based in Cheshire and headed up by Becks Wiper.

Following strategic client wins and new hires, Hop underwent a rebrand as a full-service agency in September 2023. Hop’s remit now encompasses social media, influencer, content, and digital but remains true to its heritage in PR, with expert collaborators supporting a 360-degree approach with video, photography, websites, PPC, and SEO (hence the &Co in Hop&Co). Hop’s mission is to be a ‘full-service agency with a difference’ by working with clients to understand what success looks like to them and collaborating closely to help them reach their goals.

During a previous incarnation as Hop PR LTD, Becks merged with a digital agency in 2020 to drive growth, rebranding as Pretzel. Unfortunately, the partnership failed, prompting her to walk away in May 2022 with nothing, abandoning six years of hard work, including her office, team, and clients. As a single mother of two, this decision was significant, but she believed it was the right one.

Starting afresh without resources was daunting, yet adversity showcased her resilience. Despite a tight deadline to secure clients, Becks embraced the opportunity to rebuild, drawing strength from setbacks. Each challenge became a stepping stone, propelling her forward with renewed determination.

Our Work

A proudly female-owned business and all-women team, our unique perspective, resilience, and accomplishments over the past year have resulted in our strongest financial year to date. We are beyond proud of this accomplishment and the lessons learnt along the way.

Our creativity and content have been the driving force behind acquiring new clients, rekindling relationships with past clients, and guaranteeing the satisfaction and expansion of services for our existing clients over the past year:

·      SCI-MX: Sports nutrition brand SCI-MX hit the refresh button in July 2023 and, as part of its resurgence, onboarded Hop&Co. as its new full-service agency partner. Creativity was at the core of our approach to breathe new life into the brand, revitalising its essence and restoring its vibrancy – we spanned this across events, social media, influencer outreach and engagement, appointing brand champions, traditional and digital PR, emailer content and more!

·      Supreme PLC: Supreme PLC is the overarching umbrella organisation of SCI-MX. Through our successful work on SCI-MX, we expanded our service offering to other parts of the business. Our remit was to position Supreme as the ‘responsible’ vaping brand, forward-thinking and one step ahead of government regulation, whilst simultaneously tackling the negative perceptions around vaping amongst the public, consumers, and the media. Creativity was harnessed to strategically position the brand, ensuring it was perceived in the most advantageous and compelling light.

·      Hispec: This new client’s brief made it clear they wanted to be creative and show their fun side! Utilising creativity on TikTok enabled the B2B brand to infuse fun and engaging content, ensuring it resonated with audiences while also possessing the potential to go viral. Our first video surpassed expectations with views of over 49,000.

·      Serenity Advanced Skin & Beauty Clinic: We recently undertook a rebranding approach to transform our longstanding client from an average beauty salon to an Advance Skin Clinic. Creativity was instrumental in crafting a fresh identity for the rebrand, infusing it with innovative concepts and design elements to captivate audiences. The rebrand successfully breathed new life into the business through strategic and imaginative approaches, resonating with existing and potential customers.

This is the first time we’ve submitted an entry to the UK Content Awards, so we’re over the moon to learn that we’ve been shortlisted. It’s a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the passion, hard work, dedication, and attention to detail that Team Hop puts into each and every project we undertake.
